We have a few types of trucks in our fleet, some have specific uses. We have dump trucks with and without splitter gates designed for delivering bulk materials, a small crane truck with forks that is used for specialty purposes, and a flatbed designed for delivering palletized material with a Moffett forklift attached to the back. For smooth deliveries please ensure your delivery area is clear and free of obstructions.
Palletized Material
As a standard we use the flatbed for all palletized material but from time to time we may use the crane truck if the situation allows for it.
While the flatbed does have a forklift attached for unloading, it is importand to keep in mind the forklift is almost 8 feet wide and cannot do certain things like go through fence gates into a backyard. Our drivers will do their best to place your material where you require it but some things like gas meters, parked cars, low hanging trees, and more unforseen issues may not allow certain requests to be completed. Always prepare a nice open area to have product delivered without complications. If you have special requests for delivery please state them as a reference line in your order on checkout. If viable we will follow the requests.
Often when delivering palletized material the driver will stack the pallets up to 2 pallets high to save on space. If this would be an issue for you please state this in a reference line in your order on checkout.
If palletized material is to be picked up by us from your location for any reason, make sure there is nothing blocking the material, and try to keep the original packaging intact for safe transportation reasons.
Bulk Material
We have a few dump trucks in our fleet, which one we use for the order depends on what the order contains.
We have a splitter gate available in 2 of our dump trucks which means we can carry 2 different bulk materials at once without mixing, as long as the quantity ordered doesn't exceed the maximum amount per compartment. Depending on the material type we can usually get around 8 cubic yards per compartment.
Dump trucks dump the bulk material out of the back of the truck while raising the front of the box into the air. Because of this the area must be clear of things like trees, overhead wires, and other things that may intrude the path of the box rising.
Best practice is to lay a tarp down where you want the material dumped. The tarp is an obvious marker for the driver, and also allows for easy cleanup after the project is completed. If you place a pylon where you would like the material the driver will move the pylon out of the way and dump the material in that spot if possible.
Typically we cannot pickup bulk materials from your location. The only reason we would pick up bulk material from your location is if we accidentally delivered the wrong material, or there is something wrong with the material.
We have 5 delivery zones with standard delivery rates depending on which zone your area is in. The map below is our delivery zone map. When ordering something for delivery your postal code will be read and you will be charged accordingly. If you are outside of our normal delivery zones, call in to place an order and figure out a shipping cost with a sales representative.
