When selecting an interlocking stone for a driveway you must keep thickness in mind. Slabs and pavers typically come in 50mm, 60mm, 70mm, and 80mm thickness. As a standard you should use 70mm or 80mm, however some 60mm products are acceptable if they are small enough sizes. Each interlocking stone within our website will have a "Driveway Rated" attribute listed on the product page if it is usable for a driveway. Using something too thin will lead to breakages and will not hold up to any kind of warranty.
The phrase bulk material is used quite a bit and is used for loose gravels, soils, and mulches that are loaded with a front end loader using a bucket attachment. Bulk materials are sold by the cubic yard (CUYD) and are delivered with a dump truck. It is possible to get bulk materials in a 1 cubic yard bag called a tote. Totes are delivered with either a forklift or a crane truck.
While not required, it is highly recommended to help with interlocking strength, weeds, ants, and erosion issues. Polymeric sand is a fine dry sand to start and when you add water it hardens and bonds together.
Typically orders can be delivered 48 hours after placing your order. Some specialty products may differ. If so someone will reach out to you after your order has been placed or you can call the office to inquire.
Minimum quantities may apply for some products. Some products are only sold as full bundles. If a product has multiple sizes within a bundle it is sold by layer, which is usually around 10 square feet but will vary depending on the product. If a product only has 1 size within a bundle it will be sold per piece.
We have a few units of measure we use short forms for. SQFT stands for square feet and is usually used for interlocking pavers and slabs. LNFT stands for linear feet and is usually used for copings. FFT stands for face feet and is usually used for walls. CUYD stands for cubic yard and is used for bulk items like soils, mulches, and gravels. EACH is used for things sold per piece.
Pallets are the wooden platform the bundles of stone come on. They are required to move the products with a forklift and are a required part of delivery. If any product (excluding bulk materials) is to be delivered it must be on a pallet. While not required if picking up material it may be highly advised depending on how much material you are picking up. Pallets are charged at $40.00 and are refundable at $35.00 upon return.
Stone materials will be delivered on either a flatbed truck with a forklift attached to the back or a small crane truck with forks. Unless specified, it will be up to our discretion which truck we will use to deliver stone materials with. Similar rules apply to totes of material. Bulk materials like gravels, soils, and mulches are delivered in a dump truck. Up to 2 different products can be delivered at the same time due to the splitter gate in the dump truck allowing 2 different materials, depending on how much of each is ordered. Product will be placed either where requested if possible, or if the request is not possible, the driver will contact the main contact for the order and come up with something else that is possible. Have an open area with a clear marking like a pylon or tarp for best results. Things like overhead wires, low hanging trees, and parked cars can result in your request not being possible.
While we make our best efforts to ship you products in their best quality, sometimes things happen on transport or during the manufacturing process. If there are any issues with the product you receive, contact us right away by phone or email and let us know the issue. The sooner you contact us the sooner we can come up with a solution. If left too long we may not be able to reconcile the issue.
Most materials can be returned but some specialty products are final sale. An industry standard of a 25% restocking fee will be applied to most returned products unless it is due to a manufacturer defect. Pallets are returned at $35.00 instead of $40.00. Bulk materials like gravels, soils, and mulches are not returnable due to the nature of the product. You will need to bring the product into the yard in order to make a return.
At our yard we have many sample boards set up that display a wide variety of our pavers and slabs you are welcome to come look at. Depending on the product, some samples may be free of charge, however some more expensive materials may be charged for. Our bulk materials can be seen in large open bins and free samples are available if you bring some sort of container or small bag.
While we do not offer any installation, we can recommend a reliable contractor. The only contractors we would recommend are contractors we would have at our own house. Get in contact with us by phone or email and we can point you in the right direction.
Currently we do have more products available in store than online, if you can not find something suitable online, feel free to take a trip to our store location. Some of these products are things that are sold by weight, like a variety of natural stone, and some products just have not made it online yet.
