Aggregate Central's High Performance Bedding (HPB) is a premium, self-compacting aggregate designed for optimal drainage and stability, making it an excellent choice for a variety of construction and landscaping applications. HPB is composed of angular, clean, crushed stone, which ensures superior compaction without the need for mechanical tamping. It is ideal for use as a bedding layer beneath interlocking pavers, slabs, and flagstones, providing a stable and permeable base that prevents shifting and settling. Additionally, HPB is effective in drainage systems, around foundations, and in other areas where water management is crucial. Easy to work with and requiring minimal maintenance, Aggregate Central's High Performance Bedding offers a reliable, high-quality solution for creating durable, long-lasting installations.

Typically people use Granular A or Limestone A for bedding material. When using said material, you require a thin layer of Concrete Sand just to get the stones level as the Granular A or Limestone A are too rough to get level.

If using High Performance Bedding instead, you can bypass the layer of Concrete Sand as the High Performance Bedding allows you to lay your stone directly on the High Performance Bedding.

Minimum quantities may apply;

  • Usually if the product comes with a variety of sizes throughout the bundle, it will be sold by the layer, which is a flat horizontal layer of the bundle. A layer is usually around 10 square feet but varies depending on the product.
  • Usually if the product comes with a single size throughout the bundle, it will be sold by the piece and not have a minimum quantity.
  • Some products are only sold in full bundles.

Additional charges may apply;

  • All stone material comes on a wooden pallet for transport and loading/unloading purposes. The amount of pallets required will depend on how much product is ordered.
  • Deliveries must include pallets, for pickup it is still recommended but not always required.
  • Pallets are charged at $40.00 and refundable at $35.00 upon return.
  • If pallets are removed from a delivery order, the order cannot be shipped and someone will contact you about shipping or pickup arrangements.

Color Variances;

  • All concrete products have a color variance between different dye lots.
  • Many concrete products come with a color range, which blends multiple colors together within the stone. Because of this some pieces may come out differently than others.
  • It is always best to come in and get a physical sample before making a large order.
